Helping our Community

The Courtice Flea Market has been a proud supporter of community events and local charitable organizations since it opened its doors in 1992.

Community Partnership Program

The Courtice Flea Market extends an invitation for community groups to use a booth (one weekend per year) at no charge.  Community groups can use the space to raise funds for their organization (i.e. hold a garage sale, sell tickets for an upcoming fundraiser, etc) or to promote an upcoming event or to promote the organization itself.   The Operating Manager must be contacted in advance to determine eligibility of the organization and confirm availability of booth space.

Going HOG WILD for Grandview Children’s Centre

It was a flag waving, tail wagging, jolly good time for the whole family on August 21st and 22nd when the Courtice Flea Market hosted the Wild Hog Hillbilly Show and Celebrity Pig Races.  Things were slightly damp that weekend, but it didn’t prevent Brittany Spare Ribs & Harry Porker from racing to the finish line.  The market sponsored this unique attraction, and all proceeds were donated to Grandview Children’s Centre.  Special thanks to media sponsors Oshawa Express and SNAP Clarington for promoting the event, and thanks to everyone who came out that weekend. We hope you enjoyed the show!

Grandview offers programs and services for children with special needs, from infancy to adolescent age.  By providing a range of services, Grandview Children’s Centre supports families and helps these kids achieve their personal best.

2010 Grandview Children's Centre Charity Book Sale

Thanks to the community for supporting this annual Charity Book Sale in support of Grandview Children’s Centre.

Over 5,000 books, ranging from children's books, popular fiction, romance, non-fiction and special interest books were available for sale.  Close to $1,000 was raised during this weekend event, with all proceeds directly benefiting  the Grandview Children’s Centre.
